So far, we have said everything about the importance of row teeth …. and your efforts and the office collection in order to create it, and maintaining what you have achieved is in the correct use of the retainer plate.
First, all teeth tend to move after orthodontic treatment unless they are retained by the retainer.
Second, the fact that the teeth are moving does not necessarily mean that they are loose at the end of the treatment.
Third, the teeth will move despite looking strong. And this movement is painless.
Fourth: This movement has nothing to do with age, physical strength, exercise, nutrition, etc. and will occur regardless of all the above. Therefore, we should consider the use of retainers as part of the treatment and consider it important. And your next visit to the office will be at the end of the first month, the sixth month, the tenth month.
At the sixth or tenth month visit (depending on the person’s history of dental malformations) based on radiographs and clinical examination, the problem of wisdom teeth will be raised and resolved. (You may be referred to an orthodontist or general dentist for removal.)
Retainers: Your retaining plaque is removable and designed for the teeth to maintain the final treatment.
چند نکته مهم :
Use Except when eating and brushing, always keep them in your mouth, and in the early hours of use, there was a slight increase in saliva secretion, which will go away quickly.
Care Brush it like your teeth after each meal, just remove the plaque from your mouth with the pieces of wire that attach it to your back teeth.
If for any reason your retainer is not in your mouth or is missing, contact your doctor immediately and make an appointment with your doctor.
I am not talking about the need to maintain the health of your teeth with the help of hygiene, brushing and flossing because I’m sure you know very well that these teeth are very valuable for the future of your life, especially when on a busy path. You have put their bumpy maze in a beautiful and convenient position.
Do not forget to visit a general dentist for a quick examination and treatment of decayed teeth.
Retainer plates
In the early years of my orthodontic career, all patients underwent retention with removable plaques at the end of active treatment. Retention methods are different today:
In some patients I use a fixed retainer. In this method, a piece of fine orthodontic wire is placed in the lingual part of the teeth and connected to the teeth in parts with the help of tooth-colored materials. This method has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it does not require the cooperation of the patient, but on the other hand, it forces all involved teeth to respond in a coordinated manner to the forces resulting from the functioning of the dental system. In this case, the teeth are later than usual. Stable.
Use clear plaques: which are small in size and cover the lip and tongue surfaces of the teeth. It is easy to use, but the need for hygiene in these teeth is much greater than people who have removable plaque.
Use of removable plates: This type of holding device has been used traditionally and has proven its ability, and I personally use this type of holding plate in most patients.
