This book, which was published by Thatcher Publications in Shiraz in the year one thousand three hundred and eighty-two, tries to express the problems and their solutions with the help of available sources with a simple prose. This book includes basic topics such as embryology, etiology, classification of types of gaps, comorbid disorders, speech and speech therapy difficulties, psychomotor approach, sequence and time of treatment and finally orthopedic treatment.

This book is a memento of my service in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, which was written in collaboration with Dr. Pakshir and Dr. Babaei Jahromi. I always wish success, health and happiness to these loved ones.
